The Personal Helpers and Mentors is a Federal Government initiative designed to assist people with mental health issues on their recovery journey, improving people’s quality of life, reconnecting people to the community and accessing services that may be able to assist. The program provides an outreach service and works in partnership with a range of services, agencies and government departments.

The recovery journey for each person is as unique and individual as is each person. PHaMs is a program which is provided by the Schizophrenia Fellowship of NSW (NGO) and provides a person centred, strengths based, recovery focused, capacity building and individualised 1 to 1 service which is directed to all people with mental health issues whatever that may be – anxiety, depression, as well as schizophrenia and other disorders.
